February 9th in Costa Rica!

In the morning outside the hostil me and Theresa saw roosters across the road that were tied to poles! This seemed immediately disturbing, I think more for Theresa because of her extreme compassion for animals. We went over to see them, meanwhile the owner watching us and came to see what we were up to. Theresa explained best she could that they didn't seem happy where they were. In response the owner let them off the poles and cuddled the roosters and seems to show signs of accaptance and some level of enjoyment of the attention the owner was giving.

We continued our Journeys toward our first destination Manuel Antonio and stopped in a few random scenic places along the way. One town we stopped in, Quepos, seemed a bit sketchy and dirty, we gave it the nick name shit town, because the sewers are open. Later we would come to the town at nigh and it really wasn't so bad! It was weird how the town seemed very different in the day then at night, the energy and vibes were very different! Just over the hill from this town was Manuel Antonio!

We found the hostile my friend Phil had mentioned in Manuel Antonio we were looking for, it was called Costa Linda! A very awesome place and the rooms were only $16 per day and we had our own rooms! Each room had 2 beds usually a queen and a single. Here are some of the shot of what the beach looks like here: (remember please click on the photo's to see the higher quality pictures)

The beach was so beautiful and had amazing waves!! This was the first time I remember being comfortable with the Ocean, where before I was afraid of it! Theresa was in bliss in the ocean wit the sun melting red on the horizon in the distance!

We hung out on the beach until darkness fell. Just as it got Dark we had two police officers come up to us and ask us if we had marijuana! They asked us for our passports and what we were doing; it looked as though they were trying to keep the beach securitized for the tourists! Considering what they were asking for it was as though they had another agenda! They seemed to be impressed that my middle name was Antoine.
